As you walk up to the home, you are greeted by a lovely sitting porch with a view of beautiful tree-lined Washington Street. Upon walking through the front door, you are taken in by the lovely foyer that is tastefully decorated to represent life at the beach. The formal dining area set up for 4-6 with a gas fireplace that connects directly to the eat-in kitchen. No detail was overlooked in the kitchen, which features quartz counter tops, sea glass tile back splash, farm house sink, ceramic tile floor, GE appliances, breakfast bar for two, and freestanding island with two seats for the open concept living. The first floor also gives way to a large family/living room off the kitchen. There Is additional living space in the front of the home with a pull out couch that can made into a private room and full first floor bathroom with shower. An extra for this floor is the charming sun porch. As you climb the stairs to the second floor you are greeted by a landing that leads you directly into the bathroom and laundry area. This bathroom is complete with a large vanity, floor to ceiling tiled shower, fireplace, and a claw foot soaking tub that leads to a private deck, giving you the feeling of having your own spa. This floor also includes the master bedroom with king sized bed which is connected to the private upper-level deck. There are two spacious bedrooms on this floor as well. The middle bedroom includes two twin size beds and the front bedroom features a queen size bed. There is central air and forced air heating throughout the home, and multiple ventless gas fireplaces. The outdoor area is complete with a deck and lovely paver patio area, great for grilling and entertaining. There is a shed for additional storage needs and a drive way for three cars. 1136 Washington is located within .7 miles to the Washington Street Mall, .1 Mile to the Emlen Physick Estate, Tennis Courts and Kiwanis Community Park, .9 Miles to Madison Avenue Beach. This home does provide 8 beach tags, bikes and beach chairs in the Blue Steger Beach Box on Queen Street Beach. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BLANKETS FOR COMFORT, PILLOWS, SHEETS AND TOWELS FOR YOUR STAY. Charming Convenient Perfect Holiday Home
Cape May is a special place, but to stay in this home, makes the week perfect. It is a loved home, with so many special touches - beachy, luxurious, historic, and fun. The home is exquisitely decorated and comfortable. A nod to the historic whaling cottage it once was throughout, but a thoroughly modern cozy feel. The shed has nice bikes to ride to town or the beach with baskets. The beach box has great beach chairs and an umbrella to save you lugging things there. Everything is so easy and charming about the home with a fun beachy vibe. We appreciated the games provided. The location is perfect and we will be coming back again for sure. This exceeded our expectations.
